Saturday: It's The Annual East Haven Tree Lighting!

The annual tree lighting festival marks the official start of the holiday season in East Haven. And don't forget: Santa will be visiting the town green as part of this year's event, too!

Ho, ho, ho!! The holiday season has begun — and local festivities get their official kick off here in East Haven with the annual holiday tree lighting this Saturday afternoon.

The festivities, always a fun time for the whole family, start at 1 p.m. — with Santa arriving on the green at 2 p.m. to visit with all the town's good girls and boys.

The tree will then be lit at 4:45 p.m.

"We will have a bouncer and a train and cookies to decorate," East Haven Chamber of Commerce Chair Jenn Highamwrote in her post on the East Haven Patch community calendar

This year's event, which is organized annually by the chamber, is sponsored by Citizens Bank.

For more information or to volunteer with this year's lighting, call the East Haven Chamber of Commerce office at 203-467-4305.
