Kim Lifton is a co-founder (with Susan Knoppow) and writing coach of wowwritingworkshop.com, a company dedicated to helping college-bound students tell their stories in their own words and their own voices so their admissions essays stand out from the crowd. She is inquisitve (some say nosey), loves to write and believes everyone can write; many just haven't been taught a process to do so.
Before starting Wow, Lifton was a successful freelance and ghost writer, working with regional, national and international publicaitons, executives, corporations and non-profits. Previously, she worked for the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel as a daily newspaper reporter and for the Detroit Jewish News as a business editor and political writer.
Lifton holds many titles, including: writer, teacher, mom, wife, daughter, twin, sister, mental health advocate and James Taylor groupie.
She lives in Huntington Woods, MI, with her husband, Kevin Shea, daughter, Sarah, and rescue dog, Spike. She also has a step-daugther, Caitlin, who lives in Boston.
