Adam Church, Neighbor

 Dr. Church was introduced to Chiropractic at the age of 18 after a severe  auto accident. The accident left him with a shattered sternum, two fractured vertebrae and three herniated discs in his low back. After consulting two orthopedic surgeons and a neurosurgeon (all suggesting that he would not be able to recover without surgery,) he went to a Chiropractor. Beginning at a young age, Dr. Church also suffered from severe headaches that seemed to get worse from the accident. Receiving enormous benefit, chiropractic corrected the cause of his problems, restoring his health completely.

Because of this life changing event, Dr. Church began studying at Southern Connecticut State University. After finishing his pre-med courses, he left New Haven, CT to pursue his education at the famous Life University of Chiropractic in Atlanta, Georgia. Graduating in 1999, he began working for a thriving family Chiropractor, Dr. Jim Hovey, who is also the team Chiropractor for the Atlanta Falcons.

In 2002, Dr. Church and his wife decided to return home to Connecticut to open Atlas Chiropractic in East Haven. Dr. Church specializes in family chiropractic care for all ages. In the community, he has helped to raise thousands of dollars for local charities including Special Olympics, United Way, The Farnam House and the East Haven Lions Club. Dr. Church currently works with other doctors of all disciplines to analyze difficult cases. He receives referrals from all over the northeast to examine patients. Some of his patients have traveled two hours to be evaluated. Currently, Dr. Church is the official team Chiropractor for the Championship New Haven Rugby Club.  In 2001, Dr. Church was the organizer of the very successful Kids Day America. This day emphasized the importance of safety and health to children in the community.

Dr. Church continues to study in multiple post graduate courses and frequently attends seminars in neurology, orthopedics, nutrition, sports injuries, radiology and diagnosis.  His specialties include Chiropractic techniques such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnancy, Webster technique and extremity adjusting. He also works closely with attorneys and insurance adjusters who deal with auto related and workers compensation injuries.

Besides his passion for Chiropractic, Dr. Church, his wife Liz and daughters Sabela (shown above with Dr. Church) and Aliya.  enjoy varied, fulfilling and rather adventurous lives with a strong emphasis on physical activity and travel. He enjoys sports with participation in mountain biking, kayaking, tennis, running, weight lifting, hiking, scuba diving and boating.
