The shoreline favorite has been chosen as the winner of this week's Readers' Choice poll for best burger in East Haven. The Sandpiper finished with 40 percent of the votes cast in this week's poll. Warrant: Officer Taped Stealing Drug Money (DOC)

Retired police officer Michael D'Amato was charged with taking $1,328 from the East Haven Police Department evidence room.
