East Haven Police Department

The department has 53 sworn officers, of which five are women; and a fleet of 38 patrol and unmarked cars. Some 12-15,000 arrests are made each year. While petty theft and vandalism have risen slightly over the last decade, burglaries and robberies have declined, according to Acting Police Chief Gaetano Nappi.
