Wine 101 & 102 Fall Classes Starting up!

It's that time of year again!  We've been gone a little bit , but now we are back with a new home.  Starting in October, WINE101 will be hosting beginners and intermediate wine classes at Grand Vin Fine Wines at 28 E. Grand Ave New Haven and Chestnut Fine Foods on 1012 State St New Haven.
Every Thursday night in October at Grand Vin, we will start our WINE101 program for everyone and anyone who wants an introduction into the world of wine.  There's nothing more intimidating than walking into a wine shop or looking at an extensive wine list.  This class will build up your confidence and show that you actually know more than you think about wine.  Classes will begin at 6:30PM in Grand Vin's new in store tasting room.  $30/person or $50/couple, call 203.468.7494 and ask for Carol or Chris.  Or email me for details or with your questions at wineschool101@gmail.com
  Every first Tuesday of each month, Chestnut Fine Foods will be our host for our WINE102 Class.  In this inaugural class, you will utilize all of your wine tasting skills that you learned in Wine101 as you blind taste through a series of wines either from a specific country or varietal.   This will be a very interactive class with a lot of participation on your part. Remember, wine should not be intimidating. By blind tasting a wine, we break out of the misconception that price and brand names influence your perception of the quality of the wine. This class will level the playing field between all novice and pro's and get you all to work together as we pick out one winner based solely on taste!  Patty and Fred Walker at Chestnut Fine Foods,http://www.chestnutfinefoods.com/ ,will be our hosts and will prepare small items to nosh on that will pair with our secret wines. It's all of what you learned before with a new twist, so bring your friends and let our wine adventures begin again!  $30 per person or $50/couple, reservations strongly recommended.
