Week Ahead in East Haven: Fundraiser for Victims of Plane Crash

As all of East Haven is aware, a plane crash happened on Charter Oak Avenue Aug. 9 which killed four people.  A fundraiser to help the victims' families is happening Aug. 15 at a local restaurant.  Read on for other happenings in town this week:

Wed., Aug. 14 -  The East Haven Marching Band is holding a benefit at Chili's restaurant from 5-10pm.

Thurs., Aug. 15 - You can have your dogs' nails trimmed at the East Haven Animal Shelter for $10, proceeds of which go to the shelter.

Thurs. Aug. 15 - "When any member of this community is lost, we feel as if we lost a member of our family," said representatives of Chili's in East Haven. The restaurant family would like the opportunity to give back to these families who lost loved ones in the plane crash by donating 50% of their sales to those affected. Let them do the cooking Thursday and support the families.
