There’s NOOO Crying in Politics

Wayne Winsley, Candidate for U.S. Congress in Conecticut's Third District

If you are a supporter of Christopher Shays, Mark Greenberg, Justin Bernier, Lisa Wilson Foley, or Daria Novak, today sucks. Your coffee is a little bitter, your phone is pinging with voicemails and the last thing you want to do is log onto Facebook.

You worked hard as heck, you spent money on the campaign and sacrificed time with your family. This summer, while other people were barbecuing and vacationing, you showed up at events and knocked on doors. And still, your candidate came up short in the vote count. Today sucks for you. So take today and be disappointed, be angry, shed a tear if you have to.

But tomorrow, you are expected back on the field. This isn’t the playground and we aren’t children, you don’t get to take your ball and go home. Because if you don’t support the candidates chosen by the voters, you are choosing to leave Connecticut a blue state and all of your hard work up to this point will have been in vain.

Do not throw in the towel. We can still prevail in November if we work as a team.

To Christopher, Daria, Lisa, Justin, and Mark, you are the same leaders today that that you have been up to this point, your job is just different now. Your job is to lead by example and get your supporters back in the game.

To everyone, our team is still on the field and there are Republican candidates across the state that need your help. A good place to start will be at the GOP unity rally this Saturday in Monroe. http://www.facebook.com/events/498167333532724/
