Boys & Girls Club to Honor East Haven Coach

Jim Reynolds will receive the Boys & Girls Club "Gold Ring Award" at the club's 78th Annual Gold Ring Dinner on April 30 at the Country House Restaurant in East Haven.

resident Jim Reynolds has been selected for their 2012 Gold Ring Award by the New Haven Boys & Girls Club Alumni Association.

Reynolds is being honored in recognition of the volunteer service he has performed in the community for many years, association officials said.

For the past 15 years, Reynolds has organized the Special Olympics basketball tournament at Quinnipiac University.

He also volunteers many hours to youth by coaching in the Foxon Little League and the East Haven's youth basketball programs.

In addition, Reynolds has coached high school basketball at Wilbur Cross High School, Guilford High School — and currently at .

And he has volunteered for many years as a coach and organizer at the Farnam Neighborhood in New Haven.

Gold Ring Dinner

Reynolds will receive his Gold Ring at the Boys & Girls Club 78th Annual Gold Ring Dinner on April 30 at the Country House Restaurant in East Haven.

In addition to Reynolds, Gold Rings will be presented to Lou Celentano of New Haven and Betty Panza of Hamden.
