MOvember

MOvember...Raising awareness of men's health.

We all know about Breast Cancer Awareness month and what a great cause it is, but I have one question...What about the men?

This coming month is Movember (the month formally known as November.)

In an effort to raise awareness for men's health, including prostate and testicular cancer) my team and I will be wearing moustache's all month long.  We work at Yale Cancer Center doing research for prostate cancer.  The men are growing in moustache's and the women are drawing or wearing them.  Everytime someone stops and asks why it is a great chance to spread the word of Movember.  Last year this worked wonders and I was able to speak to a ton of people!

Men’s health is a cause I am passionate about and I’m committed to make a difference by helping to raise vital funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer.

Those who would like to support me in my role as a moustache merchant for Movember and help me to make a difference to the state of men's health. I am asking you to help support my personal journey by making a donation. The size of which isn’t important, every little helps Movember to continue its funding of world class programs. To highlight the importance of what I am doing, take a look at these statistics:

- 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime

- This year 242,000 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed

- This year 8,290 men will be diagnosed with testicular cancer

If you’d like to help change these statistics, please make a donation by either:

- Donating online at: http://mosista.co/Vicky425 and click “donate to me”

- Writing a cheque payable to ‘Movember,’ referencing my full name and mailing it to: Movember, PO Box 2726, Venice CA 90294-2726

-If you’d like to find out more about the type of work you’d be helping to fund by supporting Movember, take a look at the Programs We Fund section on the Movember website: http:// us.movember.com/about/funding-overview/

Thank you in advance for supporting my efforts to change the face of men’s health. All donations are tax deductible. Every dollar counts, whether it be a personal donation or a company donation I would so greatly appreciate it.

I'm disappointed with the new format. Doesn't seem to be very user friendly.

Gov. O'mally is ruining this State by driving more and more people into poverty, giving illegalsRead More drivers licenses, letting criminals out of jail early, pushing good companies out, and making it's citizens unsafe. Time to clean house starting locally!

WE THE PEOPLE have no say in how governments govern nor how OUR money is spent. WE supposedly electRead More people who take the trust of the people with them when elected and do the will of WE THE PEOPLE. This has never happened. Especially in state and federal office. Once in office the power they discover they now have pushes aside the will of the people. It an attitude of we have the power and you don't. Someday, but I doubt it, we can elect those who will not loose site of why they were elected.
