The Mercury Group sets up a Donation Station - and you can too!

"It's the most wonderful time of the year" may just be a holiday song to some but to most, this truly is the most wonderful time of the year when people learn to give more of themselves and share their abundance. That's what The Mercury Group of Stratford has done. 

When the management team of this Electrical Contractor found out, just the other day through The Patch blog, that the East Haven Boy Scouts Troop 408 & Cub Scout Pack 412 were setting up Donation Stations to collect contributions for the Connecticut Food Bank, they heard the call and asked how they could help fill the need. 

"With over 45 employees, some of which who live in East Haven themselves and having done work in East Haven, there's no way we couldn't do something" says Danielle Griffin of The Mercury Group. She goes on to explain, "We have a box in the lobby and we've made it a challenge, Mercury wants to 'Fill the box', when we've filled the box, we'll call for a pick up and will just have to fill the box again!" 

According to Ms. Griffin, it's not just about Corporate Giving, but its about each employee participating in something that is bigger than any one of us. She went on to say, "Our corporate responsibility is part of The Mercury Group's Core Values and supporting organizations like the East Haven Boy Scouts Troop 408, who do so much in their community all year-round is a necessity for everyone who believes the same way."
