Today: East Haven Town Beach Party & Fireworks

Summer is here and the time's right — for a party on the beach!

Are you ready for the town's annual summer party, East Haven?

This Saturday, family, friends and neighbors will once join together to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday a little early with the .

The festivities will once again include another fun-filled day of food, music and live entertainment at the .

But a quick look at this weekend's forecast shows Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 88 — and not a chance of a shower in sight.

Entertainment & Food

The beach party's musical acts by the Beach Boys tribute band, "All Summer Long."

The band's performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday — and continue right up to the start of the night's firework display at about 9 p.m.

In addition to musical performances — which will begin at noon — WPLR-FM 99.1 will be on the town beach throughout the day adding to the entertainment.

Food will also be available from and , both of which are located on Cosey Beach Avenue.

And there will also be numerous vendors and concession stands, as well.

Street Closures

Due to the party, street access to the beach will be limited beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday. 

Cosey Beach Avenue will be closed from the intersection of Second Avenue to Philips Street. Similarly, Coe Avenue will be closed from the Bradford Street intersection to the beach.
