Old Man Steve

Love East Haven, moved here in September 2011 from Dallas, Texas. It was 107 in Dallas when we moved, and had been in the 100s for 40 straight days.

I'm 73 and retired. My partner and I are together 41 years. He is from here, and we lived in the same house in Dallas for 39 years. He has Parkinson and I have become his caregiver.

That is the main reason we moved here. To be close to his family. We live next door to his daughter, and he has a sister in East Haven and a sister in Hamden and a brother in North Haven

People ask me what I miss the most and I have to say: Mexican food or in Dallas Tex-Mex food. Here you have a lot of Italian food places. In Dallas we have a lot of Tex-Mex places. So I'm looking for a good Mexican food place.

I know there has been a lot of talk lately about Tacos and such, but it just makes me hunger for Mexican food.

You may think things are bad here in East Haven, but in Texas we have Rick Perry and that is Bad.
