A message from Energize Connecticut:

'The Energized Guyz' recently entertained more than 175 parents and students at an exciting, educational performance at Deer Run Elementary School in East Haven.

During the show, adults and children were educated on the importance of energy efficiency in the home and what they can do to make a difference.

Co-sponsored by Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) and The United Illuminating Company (UI), The Energized Guyz is a comprehensive energy education program featuring live, professional actors that teach elementary students about energy and conservation with the goal of empowering them to take energy-saving actions at home.

CL&P and UI are offering this comprehensive educational program free to 100 elementary schools in their service territories through the Energize Connecticut initiative and eesmarts™ energy education program, focused on energy efficiency and clean energy learning initiatives that are funded by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and produced by The National Theatre for Children (NTC).

Energize Connecticut helps you save money and use clean energy. It is an initiative of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the Clean Energy Finance & Investment Authority, the State, and your local electric and gas utilities, with funding from a charge on customer energy bills.
