First Day of School: Goodbye Summer, Hello Teachers!
The school supplies are bought, the new outfits are on and the lunches are packed — and it's time to start the new 2013-14 East Haven school year!
Whether you're wishing for more time off or waving down that big yellow bus after a long summer at home with the kids — the countdown to back-to-school is finally over.
And a beautiful blue, sunny sky over East Haven helped to usher in the start of the new 2013-14 school year for students and school staff this morning.
The boys and girls, sporting fresh new outfits and backpacks full of school supplies, hopped on bright yellow school buses to meet new teachers and get back to "work."
And can you believe that this year's fresh crop of kindergarten students are new the members of the future Class of 2031?!?
The first day of school is always a day with mixed emotions, for both kids and parents.
