At Your Fingertips: Student Info Now Accessible Online

East Haven student information can now be accessed online by parents, guardians and the students themselves.

Wondering if your child's been skipping school or what yesterday's homework assignment for math class was — don't worry, there's an app for that.

The recently opened an online "public portal" to PowerSchool, the student information system the administration uses to store and manage student attendance, grades, assignments and other information.

Randel Osborne, who heads the district's technology department, told East Haven Patch that by using the portal, parents and guardians of all East Haven students can view attendance records.

In addition to attendance, Osborne said students in grade 6 through 12 can login to the public portal with their own account to view attendance, grades and assignments.

And, students may use the PowerSchool Student App for iPhone and other IOS devices to access the public portal, and parents may use the PowerSchool Parent App to do this as well.

"We feel that student and parent/guardian access to the information in PowerSchool will enhance parental involvement, and support greater student achievement," Osborne said.
