East Haven public and parochial schools are closed today for winter recess, not the winter storm, as Patch reported earlier.
WTNH sent out a school closure alert shortly after 5 a.m. that the district was closed today due to the winter storm.
A look at the district calendar, however, shows that today is the second day of East Haven's February break.
