You are invited to a very special party at the library on Friday, December 28!

Kids of all ages, from 0-100, are invited to the "Hobbits & Friends Shire Faire" at Hagaman Library - 2 p.m. on Friday, December 28. Yes, there will be magic! food! music and fun, fun, fun!

All of us at the library hope you had a most wonderful Christmas with family and friends. With kids home from school this week, we think you will be ready for a special event on Friday at 2 p.m. Our "Hobbits & Friends Shire Faire" will feature magic by the incomparable Cyril the Sorcerer and music to lift all spirits and get those toes tapping. Come dressed as a character inspired by the Hobbit book or movies or come as you are.

We will also have delicious refreshments at the party to celebrate the release of the new Hobbit film, but also to thank all of our patrons for making it a truly spectacular year for us at Hagaman Memorial Library.

As mentioned, festivities start at 2 p.m., so bring a hearty appetite and a joyous heart (we'll help with that). RSVP is recommended. Please call 203-468-3890 or email me: sgardiner@biblio.org to say: Yes! We'll be there!

Happy New Year!

I'm disappointed with the new format. Doesn't seem to be very user friendly.

WE THE PEOPLE have no say in how governments govern nor how OUR money is spent. WE supposedly electRead More people who take the trust of the people with them when elected and do the will of WE THE PEOPLE. This has never happened. Especially in state and federal office. Once in office the power they discover they now have pushes aside the will of the people. It an attitude of we have the power and you don't. Someday, but I doubt it, we can elect those who will not loose site of why they were elected.
