So Much to Do at the Library This Summer!

Outstanding children's library programs throughout the summer at Hagaman Library in East Haven!

Did you like last Wednesday? I think the parents and grandparents were laughing as hard as the kids. We'd love to hear your comments if you were with us.

Whether it is hot and humid, rainy, or you just need a break from all of that beautiful beach time, we have something fun for kids and families going on every day at Hagaman Memorial Library.

Tuesdays through August 14, bring the youngest family members and join Liz McNicholl for her incomparable . We start at 10:30am sharp and space is limited so sign up today.

Every Wednesday we have something special and different and this week is extra special indeed! Chris Evers of with nocturnal animals from around the world. See amazing creatures up close and personal. His informative and entertaining presentation is from 1:15-2pm.

Thursday mornings in July are devoted to stories and crafts. In fact, we call the program "". Hands-on fun starting at 10:30am. 

Each Friday we show a film the whole family will enjoy. is Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. The animals try to fly back to New York City, but crash-land on an African wildlife refuge, where Alex is reunited with his parents. Drop in and bring your own snacks - no reservation required.

We have so many great things coming up for all age groups. Check our Events calendar regularly. But remember, the library is always eager to welcome you and the kids. Even when no special program is scheduled, we have computers including the awesome AWE station (educational games on a big touch screen), ongoing coloring and craft projects, video and board game sessions, and of course, the latest books, DVDs and CDs to take home.

How come the details of this tragedy are not reported? The road was shutdown for five hours! I heardRead More the contractor moved the lines in the road to avoid the secret military plumbing project and didn't post signs to alert drivers.
