Final Week of Summer Reading Challenge & Programs at Hagaman Library

It's the final week of fabulous programs for children and teens at Hagaman Library. Stop in to finish your summer reading assignments and read one more really good book just for yourself!

We would like to congratulate more than 500 East Haven readers and pre-readers between the ages of 6 months and 17 years who participated in this year's Summer Reading Challenge! It is our largest number of participants to date! In addition, more than 1100 will have attended programs by the end of this week.

We were so delighted to see you throughout the summer, and we hope you were inspired with each visit and each page read to continue to "Dream Big!" Through reading, we can travel everywhere and be anything. Keep reading and make those dreams come true!

It's an extra special week at . Friday is the last day to bring in your reading logs and fill out your raffle tickets for prizes that will be drawn and awarded on August 22.

And on Wednesday, August 15 at 10:30 a.m., we'll present the wonderful Lynn Lewis in concert with friends, Pooh Bear and Spanky the Dog. Get your dancing shoes on and head to the library!

And don't forget: Musical Folk - last class of the season - on Tuesday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m.; Van Gogh's Starry Night Pastel Art Class for Teens on Thursday, August 16 at 2 p.m., and academy award winning film, Hugo, on Friday, August 17 at 2 p.m.
