One of our most popular events for children of all ages is our mural project, now in its third year. Our first mural was an underwater scene (pictured), followed by the joyful summer scene that currently graces one long wall of the children's room (also pictured).
On Saturday, June 9 from 10:30 am - 12 noon, talented art teacher Katie Stevenson joins us once again to lead our newest artistic expression. Young artists are invited to help create a magnificent mural for the children's room at the East Haven library. This year's summer reading theme is "Dream Big - Read!" and we want our newest mural to reflect our dreams, fantasies and aspirations.
Perhaps it's what you dream about at night? Or what you'd like to do when you grow up? Or where you'd like to travel? Or how you'd like to get there?
Should we fly through the night skies on a winged horse? Dance with a dragon? Swim with a dolphin? Travel up Mt. Everest with a leprechaun on a llama? Design a palace out of flowers and jewels?
Let your imaginations run wild as you create Hagaman Library's wildest mural yet!
