At the Tuesday September 04 Town Council meeting it became painfully clear that the current Town Attorney needs to learn to do more then just smile and wear Wal-mart special suits.
Item number 5 on the regular agenda dealt with the East Haven Community Counseling Center and the signing of a new contract to work with BH Healthcare.
When sitting facing the direction of the Counseling Center the Town Attorney continually pointed out that the Counseling Center was in the opposite direction then where it is from. Then as he was asked questions about the day to day operations of the Counseling Center he was unable to provide the public with the required answers to the questions they posed.
When the time came for public comment I was able to make my way up to the table and address the Council and answer the questions that they and the public had that were related to the Counseling Center.
Perhaps if The Town Attorney became more familiar with the operations of the different town departments he would be better prepared to answer questions about the various town departments.
This begs the question however if he cannot as was proven last night answer the most basic questions about various departments especially those that serve the needs of our disabled residents how well prepared is he to act in the capacity as Town Attorney?
