I, Would like to apologize for recent actions that I may haven taken in the shape of postings that I may have placed here on Patch that contained the truth yet may have offended some readers.
I do believe that freedom of expression and speech and speech are guaranteed under the freedom of speech which so many of our families and friends have fought to protect over the years is a powerful right that all Americans should treasure.
The first Ammendment states:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Strangely enough however the practice of free speech is forbidden when addressing an elected official of the same party here in East Haven yet is favored when you speak out against elected officials from oppossing political parties.
I believe I may have taken the wrong approach in some of my postings and I do indeed apologize if I offended anyone here on Patch, their families or their respective political parties.
I leave all who may be reading this with two thoughts:
All people commit sins and make mistakes. God forgives them, and people are acting in a godlike (divine) way when they forgive. This saying is from “An Essay on Criticism,” by Alexander Pope.
He among you who is without sin, Let him cast the first stone.-Jesus
