My Spring/Summer East Haven Plans.

My plans for the Spring/Summer Season in East Haven.

The Spring/Summer season is starting to take shape for me and so far it looks like a very productive. One that I hope to work with residents of both the East Haven and North Haven Communities to bring about a positive change and to accomplish goals which will make a difference in people’s lives.

Here are some of the events I am putting together to help some of the local food banks in the East Haven and North Haven Area: May 5th Food drive to benefit the North Haven Food Pantry Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00 Am Food Drive to benefit North Haven Food Pantry Saturday, August 4th, Sunday Aug 5th 2012 at 9:00 Am-2 Pm 2 day events rain or shine Robert D. Hoff Food and Voter registration Drive -Food Drive to benefit the East Haven Food Bank

I would have liked to book another summer food drive for the East Haven Food Bank however, after speaking to the manager at Stop and Shop he has informed me that August 4th and 5th was the earliest date that I could get as his weekends quickly filled up.

In addition to the above events I will also be attending various dinners to benefit local groups in the East Haven Community the first of these events is The Foxon Bisons Pasta Dinner Fundraiser, the youth Baseball Program out of Foxon, will hold a Pasta Dinner fundraiser at the East Haven Senior Center, 91 Taylor Avenue, on Wednesday, April 25, from 5-7 p.m.

The Bisons are holding the dinner to support their 9U team, which begins play in April. Tickets are $5, and children under 9 are free. I also will be attending the “Integration of The East Haven Community” dinner, on Friday April 27, 2012, 6:00 P M to 8:00 P M, at the East Haven Senior Center.

This dinner will be held by The Latino Community of East Haven, All are welcome to attend. This dinner is a continuation of the effort to help East Haven become one community for all.

In addition to the above mentioned events I will be donating blood to the American Red Cross and working on the flower garden at Montowese Baptist Church add to this all the fun and excitement of working on various other projects and attending the East Haven events on the green it should prove to be an exciting summer I hope to see everyone out there so we can continue unifying East Haven into the best community it can be for all of its residents.
