President George H.W. Bush said when he signed the ADA in to law: "...let the shameful wall of exclusion come tumbling down."
Yet today many barriers continue to stand.
Does your favorite store or restaurant provide designated parking for residents with disabilities?
If designated parking is not provided for customers of those establishments that you frequent speak with the owners or staff and ask them that they provide parking for customers with disabilites.
Customers with disabilites should not be excluded from visiting those local business that they enjoy simply for lack of properly designated parking spaces.
If after speaking with the owners of those business should they decide not to put in designated parking spaces then perhaps you should take your business elsewhere and refuse to do business with those businesses that will not provide properly designated parking spots.
