Finally a Guilty Verdict!!

Drew Peterson is found guilty of murdering his third wife Kathleen Savio.

I never believed Drew Peterson would be found guilty! When you think about the high profile cases over the past few decades, the odds were in Drew's favor.

When you consider that the evidence in the Peterson case was much weaker than cases like O.J., Robert Blake and Casey Anthony I could only assume that he would go free. Then add the fact that he is in Chicago, one of the most corrupt citys in America, maybe the world, and then top it off he was a "well respected cop" of over 20 years.

I watched the movie earlier this week, "Drew Peterson:Untouchable". I watched it twice in fact, and I thought they must have exaggerated Drew. Then I got on YouTube and saw the videos. And I remembered seeing this all on the news. Rob Lowe, IMHO, did a great job in capturing the essence of Drew.

The movie also upset me, cause I knew he would go free. I was tired of seeing obvious murderers walk. I thought it made the justice system a laughing joke. But I think Drew made one huge mistake, other than the crimes. If he had just layed low, kept to himself and exercised his right to remain silent, I think he would be free now.

His narcissism took over. He mocked the media. He mocked the whole justice system. He was "Untouchable". Instead it convicted him.

After the verdict was read, Drew turned to his lawyers and said "Good Job". The reporter said that maybe Drew had softened in jail. I don't think so. I am sure that "Good Job" had a sarcastic tone. It's in Drew's nature. He was mocking the lawyers.

Now I am sure we will see the request for a new trial, because of it all being circumstantial or whatever a defense lawyer is hired to do, but I understand his sentence will be 20-30 years.

I understand that prisoners look upon convicted police officers the same they do child molesters, maybe worse.

I hope so.

I am sure that the Savio family and Stacy's family do too!

Drew Peterson was a Policeman in Bolingbrook, IL. That's approximately 28 miles southwest of Downtown Chicago and not even in the same County.

Rick well said, maybe for once we are going to think of the victim instead of stereotyping the Defendent. There are wolves in sheeps clothing!

Thanks for the movie review. Hope to find time this coming winter, when I not soooo busy working, to watch both the movie and the YouTube videos. Any other movie suggestions?
