Town Council Public Hearing, Meeting Tuesday
East Haven Town Council will hold a public hearing on three proposed fund transfers prior to the board's regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday at the Senior Center.
The East Haven Town Council will consider the approval of a new collective bargaining agreement with members of the s union at its meeting Tuesday night.
In addition to a new contract with IAFF Local 1205, council members will also be considering three proposed fund transfers:
- The re-allocation of $67,551 of capital funds to allow for the repair of one of two failed chillers at .
- The transfer of $98,173 from the town's fund balance to offset town legal/lawyer fees.
- The transfer of $23,005 from the town's contingency fund and $21,995 from the town's fund balance for a combined transfer of $45,000 for unemployment compensation fund.
Prior to Tuesday night's regularly scheduled meeting, the town council will hold a public hearing on the proposed transfers — as required by — starting at 7 p.m. at the .

The council is also expected to approve a new Motor Vehicle Suspense List for Tax Collection and two tax refunds, as well as set a public hearing date to discuss a proposed ordinace that will adjust the dollar cap for bidding requirements "pursuant to Chapter VI, Section 4(C)" of .
