Murphy: Speed, Capacity of Semi-Automatic Weapons 'Unbelievable' [Video]

Sen. Chris Murphy watches a state police demonstration of the power of military-style rifles in Simsbury.

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) paid a visit to the Connecticut State Police Gun Range in Simsbury on Friday for a demonstration on military-style rifles.

State police Sergeant Shawn Corey demonstrated the differences between two military-style rifles for Murphy as he asked questions specifically about two versions of a similar weapon — one that is banned in the state of Connecticut and one that is currently legal.

Am I the only one to noticed what Sen. Murphy was wearing? Wonder who or what he was afraid of? Maybe this was the time the good senator was even close to a weapon, of any kind and he was afraid.

Richard- in all fairness to the anti-gun senator, most times that CSP does any type of live fire demos for the public, they usually mandate the use of ballastic vests for.liabilty and safety reasons. With that said, i saw video of the unsafe handling of firearms by CSP on Monday during the hearing, I'd wear a vest too.
