Mayor's Office: East Haven Trick-or-Treating to Remain On Wednesday

The East Haven Mayor's Office has confirmed that Halloween trick-or-treating in town will move forward as planned for this Wednesday, Nov. 7.

After deciding to postpone the annual celebration last week due to Hurricane Sandy, the East Haven Mayor's Office has just confirmed that, at this time, Halloween trick-or-treating in town will continue on as planned for this Wednesday, Nov. 7.

With the , expected to impact the area starting mid-day on Wednesday, many residents have expressed some concerns about holding trick-or-treating at that time.

And some have suggested moving the celebration once again, to a time later this week — as the town of Branford decided to do earlier today.

However, the Mayor's Office told East Haven Patch a short time ago that after conferrung with New Haven Mayor John DeStefano, the two towns will continue to hold trick or treating on Wednesday.
