Insurance Organization Honors Fasano

State Sen. Len Fasano, R-34, was named "The Legislator of the Year" by Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut (PIACT).

The award is handed out annually in recognition of service in the legislature.

“I really do appreciate this award and I want to thank you for everything you do for the state,” Fasano said. “Trust is important and people trust you, so it’s my pleasure to get involved and to be part of the conversation and give a voice to my constituents.”

Fasano has served in the State Senate since 2003 and presently serves as Senate Deputy Minority Leader Pro-Tempore. Currently, he serves as a ranking member on the General Assembly’s Planning and Development Committee, and the Executive Nominations Committee. He also serves on the Legislative Management and Reapportionment Committee.

“Senator Fasano’s accomplishments as a senator and his support of important issues to his community and our industry have made him a friend of the association and to the insurance-buying public of Connecticut,” said Howard Olderman, immediate past president of PIACT.

The award was presented in March at the PIACT annual convention at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

Fasano represents the 34th district of East Haven, Wallingford and North Haven.
