Still haven't registered to vote in next week's election? Well, there's still time to do that today.
The final day for voter registration was scheduled for Oct. 30, but Hurricane Sandy put a kink in that plan, forcing Gov. Dannel Malloy to push back the deadline to Nov. 1.
In East Haven today, residents can head to the Registrar of Voters' or Town Clerk's office at Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., if they have not yet registered to vote.
Here are the requirements in order to register in East Haven:
- You must be: a U.S. Citizen,
- A resident of East Haven
- At least 17 years old (must turn 18 before primary/Election day).
Voter registration cards, in both English and Spanish, can be downloaded from the town website.
