It's all about jobs.
The overwhelming majority of respondents to U.S Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro's latest poll say that the economy and jobs are the most important issues facing the country.
In the poll, posted on the Congresswoman's website, she asks the question: What do you think is the most important problem facing the country?
Here are the results, as of Sept. 21:
- Economy/jobs - 70 percent
- Energy - 8 percent
- Education - 7 percent
- Health care - 6 percent
- War/terrorism - 5 percent
- Poverty - 3 percent
Respondents to that poll are not alone. The results mirror a CBS News/New York Times poll. And Americans are increasingly pessimistic about the country's economy, a USA Today survey found.
