Jokeco Arbenz, If a police officer got injured or shot in the line of duty and was unable to work as a police officer any longer. Would you then deprive him of getting what he earned in serving the people and than ask him to sit home in a chair and do nothing. When although the injury prevents him from doing the job he had, he has every right to persue a job he can do and collect his pension as well. I think of the many service man who have come home with loss of limb or limbs, for doing his job to protect our freedom. If he can get a job and be once again a part of the community and feel some selfworth, do you deny him this right. If you want to jump on something, get over harping Maturo and let him get on with his life and job. In the mean time have some Cheesy cracker and give your harping a rest.

Sally, good question, I think they call it the buddy system.
Ann Della Camera March 23, 2012 at 02:39 AM
Richard I agree what a great idea. I remember years ago when churches would publish how much each member gave in their church envelope. It did make many give more so as not to feel ashamed.
Ann Della Camera March 23, 2012 at 02:41 AM
Becki, please don't feel I agree with anything you say, and I give you no compliments. It just seems strange that you seem to know a lot that goes on in Town Hall than most. I think I know who you are, so you can run, but you can't hide.
Ann Della Camera March 23, 2012 at 02:43 AM
Jumping on to another subject for a second here, I would still like to see and International Festival on the green.
Ann Della Camera March 23, 2012 at 02:45 AM
ASmith, since you are the one who brought it up, perhaps that should be a good assigment for you, but remember you have to give an honest report. Seems you have nothing better to do.
Becki Pastor March 23, 2012 at 02:55 AM
Ann, I know about CT laws in some circumstances. That in no way makes me politically involved or have any information and AGAIN, I do NOT know Mr. Krebs, I was merely speaking to what the law is. It's years of working in law offices. But again, I appreciate all the attention....it's really groovy. And enlighten me, who do you think I am?? SInce my license says Rebecca Pastor, given that it's my name. Would you like to see it? It's nice that adult debates result in one side vs. another. I have NO idea who Mr. Krebs is nor frankly do I care. I don't have any interest in politics in this town. WHY WOULD I??? And I got involved in reading/commenting on Patch because I want my children to know that if we don't speak up, nothing changes. But go ahead Ann, believe what you want. It's the time in your own head you are wasting because what you are purporting to be fact is wrong. In every possible way. I don't care who anyone is on Patch. I care that reasonable discourse and fair minded debate exists. That s something you seem incapable of...but again, thanks for always looking out for me....

Mr. McGann, Thank you for your assessment of the current state of the Republican party in East Haven. I've been saying for a couple of months now, Maturo is a lame duck. Bad enough that Maturo brought in Gallo, but he became a lame duck the moment he opened up his mouth to that reporter and spouted Tacos. Then he made things exponentially worse by repeatedly dodging TV cameras and microphones at Towm Hall and heading off to Florida for some R&R "from the stress", as his supporters called it. LOL, what a joke. This is our leader? No amount of ETV propaganda of Joe handing out certificates and joking around with kids is going to change the fact that Joe's a goner in 2013. No way in hell that the Republican Town Committee will endorse Maturo for 2013. If the Republicans don't come up with a viable Mayoral candidate in 2013 who's respected, CLEAN, has a solid work ethic, has a solid plan for the town, then we are in for a Democratic landside. Maturo being elected by the slimmest of margins on 2011 could be the best thing that's ever happened to the Democratics of East Haven (of which I am not). When Maturo goes in 2013, with him will go the Carbo, Desorbo, et al entourage. Enjoy the ride fellas. It's going to be a short one. I hope Mr. Mazzucco and the rest of the elected TC folks, the various Commission appointees, Dept heads, all stand up to the arm twisting and do what is best for the town. The people are watching, more than ever. EVERY DOLLAR WILL BE ACCOUNTED FOR.

Luigi, "the pot' needs to be stirred up now and again; and emptied ALWAYS when it is found to be rancid. Otherwise the festering mess will grow and cause discomfort, diseases and illnesses among the good people of East Haven.
Luigi (the original) March 23, 2012 at 12:51 PM
Sound a bit like the tripe you often regurgitate my friend. It comes from eating the same old garbage.
Bob Fawkes March 23, 2012 at 12:51 PM
To my knowledge, Joe Maturo was never a police officer and was never shot in the line of duty. Apples and Oranges. Your weak attempt at disparaging me just goes to show how pathetic and dwindling the support for Maturo has become. Get over yourself. Supporting a lame duck is a sure ticket to nowheresville. Enjoy the cookie jar while it lasts; because it's all over in 2013. You heard it here first!
Bob Fawkes March 23, 2012 at 12:56 PM
Actually Luigi, it comes from being repeatedly spoon fed BS by East Haven politicians who don't give a damn about the town or its people and are only in it to line their own pockets.
Richard Poulton March 23, 2012 at 06:37 PM
Needed to stop by at the Annex Glass on Main Street and decided to swing by the Krebs residence on the way back.. Well low and behold at 2:15 PM, the Lincoln in question, CT plates 241- RLY was parked in his driveway. Maybe the new owner was visiting?
foxon taxpayer March 23, 2012 at 06:54 PM
Ya he "visits" a lot. And must sleep over every night too. Since, The "Krebs" still don't have a car registered in the Town of East Haven, I will assume it is still illegally registered. Who in the Tax office do you call to report it???
Richard Poulton March 23, 2012 at 08:13 PM
If you are really concerned about this, call the tax Assessors office and ask for Mike Melicci. Or just drop him a quick letter detailing your issue with the car. He has to investigate. You don't even have to sign the letter.
Ann Della Camera March 23, 2012 at 09:35 PM
Becki, so you went to law school, do you now expect a pat on the back. You talk like most lawyers twisting the facts of what one says to suit you. Well my head has been around facts a lot longer then yours. I check my facts and am very street wise, which is something they don't teach you in law school. I have in no way attacked you yet you continue to attack me. I must be pretty important to you. I ask you this before and will again, "Get off my back" when you reach my level than and only then will I address your blogs again.
Ann Della Camera March 23, 2012 at 09:41 PM
Jokebo Arbenz, did I at any time state that Maturo was a cop, no I did not, but if you do your research, you will find he was a fireman who was injured on duty. In 2013, I will get a bigger crying towel for you, so you don't flood the town. I can see East Haven already improving in looks, signs being fixed, streets being repaired. So you get over yourself, and get your facts, before you condem anyone. You are a spoiler, and pathetic one at that. Get a job and you will have less time to be on the computer.
Becki Pastor March 23, 2012 at 09:51 PM
Never went to law school nor did I say I did. But again thanks for the attention and If I am attacking anyone then the meaning of attack has clearly been lost. Sorry you feel that way. Seems no matter what I post someone thinks I am using an alias or I am somehow politically motivated or connected. None of the above is true. Sad that when someone takes the risk of posting something that is a fact is met with such antagonism and snide remarks keeps on getting hammered with rude remarks and assumptions.

Everyone: Please stay focused on the article at hand, in this case the new leadership for both town committees, and not on each other. Just a reminder. Thanks!
ASmith March 23, 2012 at 11:57 PM
Which side did lill zullo support? Thought he was a buddy of both fellas. Kind of makes him stuck between a rock and a hard place. Town hall tenant is givin him and pappa a lot of $$$$ in town legal work but are they gonna stick by his side? Just wonderin.
Richard Poulton March 24, 2012 at 01:57 AM
Can't you read or unedrstand what you were just reminded of, stay of topic. But since you brought it up about $$$, how much did the elder Albis make as an assistant town attorney during the last administration? Or didn't you know he was paid as such?
ASmith March 24, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Jes making an observation Mr. Dick. Jes wondering which side the new town attorney voted for and is supportin. Figure Dancin Ben didnt get somethin he wanted. That is when he always changes his allegiance. Talkin bout leadership of eh gop. is on topic. you pickin on my questions is not. What albis gots to do with gop leadership is off in left field. Figure folks need to know where new town attorney stands. Is he gonna stay with the ole Joe group or go to this new group. Seems eh gop is facin a crisis of identity. Is Dancin Ben part of the "no immigrant" mind set? Is that why this here happen? cause ole Joe has been tryin to extend the olive branch to improve his image? highly unusal for the tc not to support what its mayor wants. slap in the face to ole joe for sure. on the dem side. no surprise. spite of the fact that mr. gene spends way too much time on this here patch fightin with you, a waste of time, when he should be out talkin to the people who show up to vote, folks over 50. by the by, you pickin on me, jes violated what miss julie ask.
ASmith March 24, 2012 at 12:41 PM
Mr. Ted been real quiet. Is it true he gots hisself a town job now? jes wonderin. thats the rumour runnin around town. sure he with the ole joe group iffin he gots a job from them. course that rumour could be all hot air knowin this burg. wonder who the eh gop will be runnin for mayor. hey maybe lill zullo wants to be mayor? iffin the lady could do it at a young age, maybe he kin. Mr. Dan happy now. maybe he run for mayor? well we gots 8 months and then folks will start throwin their hats in the ring. in this burg nex election cycle starts the day after this election cycle.
Richard Poulton March 24, 2012 at 01:20 PM
Read your own comment dumb ---. The article is about both parties picking leadership. You brought up the Zullo's and questioned how much money they have received or will make from the town. That has nothing to do with the article - stay on track. My comment was asking you the same question, but about the Albis income from the town. Can't take the heat don't ask foolish questions. What he made off the town doesn't bother you. And by the way, the name is Mr. Richard to you. Your true colors are showing. The town attorney could have been number 1 in his class, got the highest score on the bar, be the brightest up-an coming new lawyer, but you will still attack him for he is a republican. And please for God sake get some 4th grader to help you with your grammer.

B E L L sounds...." Ok children it's recess, stand up, push in your stools, and take a deep breath. Boys and girls try and be a little bit nicer to your neighbor. If you are all well behaved after recess, we can go on a field trip down to the splash pad" Don't forget your parking passes.
Anthony M March 25, 2012 at 01:01 AM
I didnt mean to you. I read what he replied. People like him that distort the facts for their own agenda. It goes on way to much in the the media and it politics. But once called out on it there's a tiny apology and it goes away. The damaging thing is the people who read these things and take it as gold. it is slanderous defamation of character.
ASmith March 25, 2012 at 03:00 PM
Mr. Dick who did you support? Carbo or Mazzucco? I jes askin who the town attorney supported? jes askin a question that's all. Is the town attorney loyal to Joe or not? He was a Finkle man then switched to Joe. Now that there is an obvious shift in the tc from Joe, is he gonna switch allegiance again or is the legal fees the family firm gettin influencing which side he supports? Simple question. Not bashin the boy, jes trying to find out if he is a true Joe supporter or not. Will he stand by his side to the bitter end, or will he switch sides again. Now Mazzucco didnt switch sides and go from Finkle to Joe. Mr. Dan is applaudin him for that. The town attorney did switch sides and he ran Joe's campaign. Was it cause he believed in Joe as the answer to this burgs problems, if not why did he switch sides? and will he switch sides again. Now when Mr. Larry was town attorney, all the folks knew he was Joe loyal 100%. Not so sure bout this town attorney. Are you Richard, Joe loyal 100%, do you support Carbo or Mazzucco?
ASmith March 25, 2012 at 03:03 PM
And what did the Albis family do to ya that ya have such a grudge against them? They seem like a nice family been friends with the zullo family for years. Seems they can put politics aside. Heck, big Zullo worked on Albis last campaign for probate judge. What ya got against Albis?
Richard Poulton March 25, 2012 at 03:10 PM
I wish I could answer your question the way I really want too but I would bebanned from the Patch. You don't deserve any further contact. All you are doing is trying to insight people. Get a life.
