East Haven School Building Committee Meeting Tonight

Committee members plan to discuss Tuttle School project, as well as the portable classrooms.

At last month's regularly scheduled meeting, School Building Committee
Chairman Joseph D'Albero reported that there were no leaks on the Tuttle School roof, "and everything looks good."

"However, a retainage is being held in the amount of $11,245.00 until the warranties are delivered and the punchlist is completed," the commitee's Oct. 18 minutes read.

In regards to the portable classrooms, Architect Paul Jorgensen, of Silver Petrucelli, reported that "we are in receipt of a letter from the Connecticut Department of Construction Services."

According to the Oct. 18 minutes, Jorgensen said the letter asked for six "additional informational items regarding the portable classrooms."

"Mr. Jorgensen reported that all six items have been addressed and resolved and we should be ready to go out to bid by next week," Joseph Luciano suggested at last month's meeting, putting a date on the bid asking for substantial completion by June 1, 2012 so as to not leave the work open-ended.
