East Haven Mayoral Candidate Jack Stacey's Financial Problems Mailed To Residents

The mailings were sent anonymously and demanded Stacey end his campaign.

Last month, residents received manila envelopes in the mail containing an inch-stack of papers detailing the financial problems of East Haven mayoral candidate Jack Stacey.

The New Haven Register reports that the mailings were sent anonymously and included information on Stacey, a Democrat, not paying his auto taxes and nearly having his house foreclosed. The mailings also demanded Stacey end his campaign for mayor.

“Why are Jack Stacey and Democratic Party bosses trying to defend the public issues related to candidate Stacey’s finances?” the newspaper quotes the mailing.
