MONDAY: East Haven Lawmaker Holds Public Talk on New Gun Laws

Do you have questions on the new gun control legislation? State Sen. Len Fasano and Rep. David Yaccarino will be on hand to answer them come April 22.

The following post was written and reported by Assistant Regional Editor Ronald DeRosa.

State Sen. Len Fasano will be holding a public meeting to answer questions about Connecticut's new gun laws that were signed into law on April 4.

The meeting — which Fasano will co-host with North Haven state along with North Haven state Rep. David Yaccarino — will be on Monday, April 22, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the North Haven Rec. Center Gymnasium on Linsley Street.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy signed the new gun legislation into law just last week. The new legislation bans assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition.

Both Fasano and Yaccarino, who are Republicans, voted in favor of the legislation.

Fasano represents all of Wallingford, North Haven and East Haven, as well as a portion of Durham.
