The following is a press release from the campaign of Craig Cubellotti.
, the Republican Town Committee nominated to run for State Representative for the 99th Assembly District.
Senator (R-34) nominated Craig with a passionate speech which was interrupted several times by applause.
While the speech included the myriad issues resulting from a legislature dominated by a single party, it focused on Craig’s qualifications, including the time he’s already spent building relationships in at the Capitol.
Peter Cianelli seconded the nomination, speaking to Craig’s character and integrity.
After the Secretary cast the unanimous vote, Craig thanked the Committee for “giving me the opportunity to represent you on in November” and spoke about the issues on which the campaign will focus: taxes, one-party rule and local autonomy.
In the speech, Craig said he “… look[s] forward to running a confident and respectful campaign over the next few months. I will be walking door-to-door, making phone calls and visiting local businesses because I believe the people I represent should direct my actions in Hartford."
