Candidate for EH Town Council's Online Comments Going Viral

Candidate Robert "Danny" Hoff, a frequent commenter on the East Haven Patch, has found himself and his comments on more than one media outlet this morning. 

Hoff is running as a Democratic candidate for Town Council, District 3. 

After East Haven Independent Party Chairman Dan McCann posted this Letter to the Editor/Opinion piece on Patch, things started to heat up. 


In the letter, McCann writes, "the bottom line is Robert Danny Hoff is simply not fit to hold office! Mr. Hoff says he’s putting people before politics. It’s big lie. Mr. Hoff appears to be mentally unstable as he reverts to using sexual references to bully a person for disagreeing with his view points."

Here is Hoff's rebuttal of McCann's piece also posted on the East Haven Patch where he admits, "The comments referred to in the following article are mine. I realized they were inappropriate and hurtful and they were removed shortly after having been posted, which has been acknowledged in the article." 

FoxCT News quickly picked up the Patch story and has video of McCann explaining his actions.
