Town officials and state legislators have joined together to organize a community meeting tonight, which will serve as an open forum to exlore options in protecting the shoreline from future damage and devestation like that experienced during .
The meeting will take place at the , beginning at 7 p.m. The talk is open to the public, and shoreline residents are encouraged to attend
On hand this evening will be Mayor Joseph Maturo Jr, state , and Rep. Vincent Candelora.
East Haven town staff — as well as representatives from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection — will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns.
