Brow Reelected Chair; Mannion Broke Foot

At the Police Commission’s monthly meeting Tuesday night, Fred Brow was reelected chair and Joe Civitello reelected vice chair of the five-member board. Brow announced that Deputy Chief John Mannion finished training Feb. 9 and began duty last Monday. His right foot wrapped in a bandage, Mannion said he slipped on ice and broke two bones in his foot. Police secretary Virginia Williams read a letter from a Seymour resident praising the investigation “outstanding” detectives Robert Ranfone and Thomas Russell conducted of two cars stolen from his deceased daughter‘s East Haven driveway; both were retrieved. “There’s much excellence in the department,” wrote the man from Seymour.
