With just of the new school year, it appears the two final pieces of the district's administrative puzzle will finally be put into place.
The Board of Education is expected to appoint a new principal for and at a special meeting tonight.
The meeting, which will be held at the high school, begins at 7 p.m. The agenda is attached to this article.
Appointments Tonight
Former high school principal earlier this month in the Bridgeport Public School District.
Overbrook School has been without its building head since former principal Karen Schmidt retired this summer.
New Summer Hires
The two administrators will join the district's new and new Principal who were hired by the school board over the summer.
Although former Momauguin School Principal Joanne Manginelli resigned from her post this summer to take a new position in another district, John Prato, who had been the principal at JMMS, will move over to take the elementary school's reigns.
Other Appointments Expected
In addition to EHHS and Overbrook, the school board is also expected to make several other appointments at this evening's special meeting.
This includes:
- Social Worker at EHHS
- Security Hall Monitors at EHHS
- Residency Investigator
- Nurse at DC Moore School
- Science Teacher at JMMS
- FRC Lead Teachers at DC Moore School
The board is also slated to approve a new security company agreement for the high school.
