Watson: 'The Whole Dynamic Changed' Once EH Police Saw a Legislative ID

House Minority Leader Robert Watson says his political status provoked unfair policing by the East Haven Police Department, The Associated Press reports.

Four days after Rhode Island lawmaker Robert Watson was charged with marijuana possession and drunken driving after being stopped at a sobriety checkpoint on Foxon Road Friday night, the House minority leader is saying East Haven police targeted him because of his political position, The Associated Press reports.

Watson said once he flashed his legislative ID, "the whole dynamic changed," the AP reports.
