have released the identities of the bicyclist and driver involved in Monday's fatal Coe Avenue crash.
The operator of the bicycle has been identified as Jeffrey Harrison, 51, of East Haven.
The operator of the Toyota minivan that struck Harrison and then a utility pole has been identified as Cheryle Tyson, 53, of Milford, according to police.
Harrison was pronounced dead at Yale New Haven Hospital following yesterday's late morning accident, which occurred at 50 Coe Avenue, near the busy roadway's intersection with Wilkenda Avenue.
The three passengers from the minivan — including Tyson — were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital and St. Raphael’s Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
East Haven Police Sgt. David Emerman reported in a press release Tuesday afternoon that no charges have yet been filed in the case.
He added that the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are asking anyone with any information to contact Officer Paulson or Officer Tracy at the East Haven Police Department at 203-468-3820.
