The Guilford couple burned when the airplane they were flying in have been identified as Dianne Palmeri, 54 and Albert Rossini, 55, according a Hartford Courant story today.
Both were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The plane reportedly took off out of , a portion of which lies in East Haven.
A 23-year-old flight instructor who was on board the plane, Aaron Mentkowski of Wallingford, died at the scene, the story says.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
