Police: Thief Steals Numerous iPhones from East Haven Store

East Haven Police investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspected robber who was caught on camera during the incident.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of cell phones from an East Haven store early this morning.

According to East Haven Deputy Chief of Police John Mannion, at 1:06 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a report of a tripped burglar alarm coming from the AT&T Wireless Store at 7 Foxon Rd.

Mannion said the department's investigation has determined that an unidentified black male forced open the front door and then, once inside, gained entry into the manager’s office by kicking in its door.

"The thief then made off with a quantity of iPhones worth approximately $500 each," the deputy chief said.

The incident was recorded on camera.

"A photograph of this man is being provided to the media in an attempt to identify him," Mannion said.

He added that the man appears to be in his 20’s, and was wearing a dark woolen cap and coat at the time of the incident.
