Police Searching for Suspects in Strong-Armed Robbery
Two men reportedly made off with a large sum of money.
Police are searching for two men they said robbed a large sum of money from a woman as she got out of her car in the parking lot of Bank of America this morning.
One man, wearing all black and a black motorcycle helmet, grabbed a bank deposit bag from the woman just as she stepped out of her car at about 9:15 a.m., according to Sgt. Frank Montagna. No weapon was shown, he added, and the woman was uninjured.
The bank deposit bag contained between $1,000 and $5,000, Montagna said.

The suspect, described as tall and thin, reportedly jumped on the back of a black Suzuki GSXR motorcycle, which was being operated by a heavy set male dressed in all black who was also sporting a black helmet. The motorcycle fled the parking lot heading west onto Main Street, Montagna said.

While the incident remains under investigation, Montagna said the robbery appears to have been planned. "It looks like they knew what they wanted,” he said.
