Update: Police Release Info on Raid on North Haven's Shiatsu Spa

Police had raided the North Haven spa and recently released information on the investigation.

On June 27, police raided a North Haven spa and collected evidence, but at the time had not yet revealed why or what they were looking for.

The East Haven Police Department released a statement June 28:

"The North Haven Police Department worked in collaboration with the East Haven Police Department over several months culminating with several search warrants seizing assets belonging to local massage parlors.  Investigators from both agencies obtained search warrants and eventually seized assets pertaining to a prostitution investigation.  The individuals involved will not be identified at this time pending an ongoing investigation."

WTNH reported that police had set up a tent at North Haven's Shiatsu Spa on Washington Ave and removed items from the business for evidence.

Surrounding businesses had told the news outlet that the spa was open late at night and male customers would frequently enter and exit the building.
