Police: Mom Organized Boozy Limo Ride for Middle Schoolers

An East Haven mom was arrested after allegedly providing alcohol to middle school students riding a limo on graduation.

The New Haven Register reports that the mother of a Joseph Melillo Middle School student provided minors with alcohol as the students made their way to graduation.

Lisa Marie Avery, 35, of Maplevale Court, was the chaperone for the group and allegedly provided the kids vodka and hard lemonade, wrote the New Haven Register. She was arrested on Friday and reportedly charged with three counts of risk of injury to a minor and three counts of permitting a minor to illegally posess alcohol.
