Joined Explorer Scout Post 549 Derby Fire Department May 1980

Became an Auxiliary Firefighter with Hotchkiss Hose Company # 1 May 1982

Became a regular member of the Hotchkiss Hose Company # 1 Derby Ct. May 1984

Served as Company Officer in the Hotchkiss Hose Co. #1 from 1986 till 1989

Certified with the State of Ct. as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)1988 

Hired by East Haven Fire Department as a Firefighter EMT on December 11, 1995

Appointed to Assistant Chief of the Derby Fire Department in 1995

Licensed with the State of Ct. as a Paramedic 1998 

Appointed as Fire Chief of the Derby Fire Department 2001

Certified as State of Ct. Fire Inspector and appointed to Derby Fire Marshal’s Office 2003

Worked as part time Fire Inspector East Haven Fire Marshal’s Office 2004

While working for the East Haven Fire Department was a certified Child Safety car Seat Technician for 8 years

Served on the East Haven Firefighters Local 1205 safety committee for 3 years

Worked on the East Haven Firefighters Local 1205 Toys for Children Program and ran the program for three years.

Member of the New Haven Area Special Hazards Team for the last 9 years

Tactical Paramedic attached to the South Central SWAT Team

Married for 13 years with 2 sons, oldest 28 youngest 13

Oldest son following in my footsteps as a volunteer firefighter and EMT

Involved with my youngest sons Boy Scout Troop 408 East Haven
