Fire Department Responds to Industrial Accident on Commerce Street
It is believed that a person was hit by a forklift inside an industrial company in East Haven. More details to follow.
According to sources, the East Haven Fire Department along with EMS and ambulance services, are still on the scene at Tek-Motive, Inc., a company on Commerce Street, where it appears that a person was struck by a forklift.
According to their website, Tek-Motive manufactures disc brake pads and other related equipment.
It is not known at this time if the person allegedly hit by the forklift was an employee of the company or a visitor, and whether or not the person was operating the machinery.
The fire department's dispatch unit said all personnel were responding to the accident.
